Aaron and I took an AWESOME trip to Las Vegas! We went out for the Academy of Country Music Awards, the Lionel Richie and Friends concert and for some relaxing after the stress of moving into our house. We always have fun on vacations together... especially Las Vegas, but this time was especially fabulous!
Our "casual" dinner at Sirio the first night. We sat near Sami Farha the World Series of Poker runner up.
Walking to the ACMs at MGM Grand.
Pit stop at Rouge for preshow beverages. Mine was called the Pink Caddy Martini. A martini of Jose Cuervo, Cointreau, cranberry and lime juice... served with a chaser of Grand Marnier. You're supposed to take a sip of the martini, then a sip of the GM. Yum! Aaron and I split the GM after we put it on ice.
Aaron with his usual.
Standing in line waiting to get in to the show.
It was sort of like herding cattle.
From our seats before the show started.
The next day having lunch at one of our original spots when we went to Vegas when I was pregnant with Addison. This is the pizza place in New York New York.
Still delicious!
That evening, we had nachos at Monte Carlo's Diablos. This is our second visit. Always good drinks, food and entertainment!
From our seats. We had the first row just above the floor. So we could see over everyone on the floor's heads.
Yogurt after the show.
After the Lionel Richie show, we ran into college friends (former FSU teammate of Aaron's) Marc Lamacchia and his wife Jeanette. So random! They live about 2 hours north of us and we run into them in Vegas! So, we met up the next night for some drinks before dinner. So great to catch up!
Headed to Crystals for our fantastic dinner at Mastro's Ocean Club.
Our dinner was not only delicious, service was excellent. My drink which you can't tell here, had dry ice in it when they first poured it. Pretty fun! We had so much food that we couldn't finish it all.
Then they brought us the most delicious cake you could ever taste. Butter cake... I mean BUTTER. It was so rich. I could only take two bites.
Oh yeah, and a whole plate full of whipped cream!
We didn't do the Minus 5 bar this time, but have in the past. We thought Addison would like these penguins.
Back in our room.
Our view which we love. We just love the Aria.
Floor to ceiling windows that give us all different views.
